PRE AND POST CARE INSTRUCTIONS
- Consume plenty of water on the day of your procedure and continue for the next 2-3 days.
- Please arrive with your face free of makeup, if possible.
- Refrain from using aspirin and ibuprofen, as they can increase the risk of bruising (do not discontinue any prescribed blood thinners without consulting your doctor).
- Avoid taking supplements like fish oil, vitamins C, B, and E, and glucosamine for a week before the procedure. They can act as blood thinners and increase bruising risks (consult your healthcare provider before discontinuing any prescribed supplements).
- Steer clear of alcohol, caffeine, hot beverages, physical activities, sun exposure, steam rooms or saunas, and spicy foods to reduce bruising risks.
- Do not recline or lie down for 4 hours post-procedure, and keep your head upright for at least 6 hours after the injection.
- Avoid massaging or putting pressure on the area treated for 4-6 hours following the procedure to prevent the unintended spreading of Botox.
- Apply cold compresses to mitigate bruising and swelling. Use a cloth-covered ice pack on the treated area intermittently during the initial 24 hours.
- Using Arnica tablets and cream can be beneficial in reducing bruising.
- Keep your face free from makeup for 12 hours after the procedure.
- It's normal to experience redness, swelling, and tenderness in the treated areas for the first 24-48 hours, which typically resolves within 2-4 days. Tylenol is suggested for any discomfort.
- Avoid intense physical activities for 48 hours following the treatment.
- Refrain from having facials or massages for 1-2 weeks. Delay dental procedures for at least a week or until your dentist approves.
- The client is responsible for scheduling follow-up visits as needed within the 2-3-week post-treatment period.
